Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Instructional Designer II in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Contributes as a team member to develop learning solutions based on the Company’s strategic plan, work plan initiatives, project objectives, job-specific procedures/activities, and measures of success.

  • Works closely with a variety of constituencies, including company leaders and managers, employees, and Talent Management and Talent Development team members.

  • Designs and creates instructional courses and systems for all employees.

  • Is the system administrator for the company’s Learning Management System (LMS)

  • Identifies opportunities in LMS for process and quality improvements, as well as overseeing system updates and upgrades.

  • Gathers and compiles information regarding training materials/courses and analyzes and adjusts discrepancies.

  • Partners with Talent Management to support stakeholders to drive business and people strategies.

  • Partners with external vendors as needed.

Knowledge and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in teaching, Instructional Design, Communications, Marketing, Technical Writing, Graphic Design, Multimedia, or equivalent work experience.

  • 5+ Years of applicable experience.

  • Trainer Certified for technical & leadership facilitation desired.

  • Facilitation experience preferred but not required.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design principles.

  • Experience developing successful instructor-led, e-learning, and self-guided training courses and materials.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple activities of varying complexity and competing priorities while under time constraints/deadlines with minimal direction.

  • Ability to use a variety of multimedia tools and systems.

  • Strong attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, within a team environment.

  • Experience conducting learning needs assessments to identify organizational problems and/or performance gaps and determine the requirements of either the revision of existing learning and development programs or the development of a new solution contributing to new growth opportunities.

  • Experience evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and provide feedback to management and leadership.

  • Ability to manage and deliver upon multiple training programs to managers of teams, managers of managers, individual contributors.

  • Ability to provide strategic thought partnership and consultative approach to business needs.
