Description
Primary Responsibilities:
Completing the financial close process and assisting with internal financial reporting/analysis.
Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing statutory statements.
Consulting and completing ad hoc financial requests to complete cross-functional projects.
Analyzing and reconciling different accounts.
Developing and conducting data validation ensuring to make reconciliations to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and completeness for operational purposes.
Preparing and reviewing financial journal entries.
Providing technical support for internal financial analysis projects.
Continually look for process improvements such as adding automation, addressing issues, and overcoming obstacles.
Knowledge and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Certified Public Accounting designation is preferred.
3-5 years of working experience in the financial reporting field with a preference for that completed in insurance.
Proven experience in completing account transactions, and creating routine and ad-hoc reports.
Experience with business analysis techniques, tools, and templates. Including knowledge of business system operations, workflow analysis, and both business systems terminology and standards.
Advanced knowledge of Excel including pivot tables, variable look-ups, indexing, and creating charts.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally within a diverse working environment.
