Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Manager, Life Actuarial & Reinsurance in Indianapolis, Indiana
Description
Responsibilities:
Develop modeling to support financial projections and analysis.
Lead a portion of quarterly/monthly valuation to support financial reporting.
Lead life reinsurance function, including management of life reinsurance team.
Assist in all phases of product development.
Ensure service level standards by adequately training employees and providing continuous professional development opportunities.
Requirements for Success:
Bachelor's degree.
A minimum of 3 years of business knowledge, with a preference for supervisory experience.
Fellow of Society of Actuaries status, or an experienced ASA committed to working towards the FSA designation
Knowledge or ability to quickly develop knowledge of reinsurance systems.
Ability to stay abreast of regulatory changes, evolving actuarial theory and practice.
Understanding of life financial statements with excellent mathematical skills, and strong analytical skills.
Advanced understanding of life insurance products.
Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict management and proven success working under pressure, meeting strict deadlines, and prioritizing multiple projects.
Ability to monitor, coach, and measure employee work performance.
Initiative and judgment in making decisions and communicating these effectively.
