Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Life Actuary Manager in Indianapolis, Indiana
Description
Responsibilities:
Independently leading and mentoring junior team members.
Developing actuarial models to support financial projections and analysis.
Leading a portion of quarterly/monthly valuation to support financial reporting through both development and analysis.
Reviewing and conducting pricing of life insurance products.
Assisting in all phases of product development.
Ensuring service level standards by adequately training employees and providing continuous professional development opportunities.
Requirements for Success:
Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years experience in the life actuarial field.
A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
Experience in both Microsoft Office and AXIS technologies.
Fellow of Society of Actuaries status, or an experienced ASA committed to working towards the FSA designation
Ability to build trust with employees, make decisions in ambiguous situations, and display leadership qualities.
Ability to stay abreast of regulatory changes, evolving actuarial theory and practice.
Understanding of life insurance products, and financial statements with excellent mathematical, problem-solving, and strong analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability in conflict management and proven success working under pressure, meeting strict deadlines, and prioritizing multiple projects.
Ability to monitor, coach, and measure employee work performance.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and exercise judgment in making decisions and communicating these effectively.
