Description

We are looking for someone to:

Operate systems by means of consoles & printers.
Monitor console messages and take appropriate action as generated by System Developers or Mainframe messages.
Operate digital printing equipment and Bindery Equipment including, but not limited to; cutter, jogger, and folder.
Maintain and identify computer systems, program malfunctions, and documentation errors, and initiates corrective action to maintain schedules and ensure the integrity of production files.
Set-up and operates all Printers, read and interpret specifications, work orders, or network printing specifications, scan or import digital artwork, including halftones and color.
Collaborate with the customer to make adjustments as needed.

The scheduled hours are Thursday – Saturday 5:30pm – 6:00am. 36 hour work schedule.

Requirements for Success:

Requires a High School diploma or GED equivalent. Trade school or college training in Information Systems concepts is preferred.
2 years of previous experience as a Computer Operator is preferred, but not required.
Requires current knowledge of computer operating procedures and standards, as well as familiarity with PC usage
Requires incumbent to be able to work and adjust schedules during fluctuating periods of work pressure and in meeting established deadlines. Must be able to work with changing conditions dictated by equipment failure or workload.
Must be a positive influence in establishing, developing, and maintaining professional working relationships with internal and external customers using effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentially
Requires incumbent to maintain current knowledge sufficient to allow the operator to function in a multi-system environment.
