We are looking for a Director of Internal Auditing and Consulting to establish policies for the internal audit function and direct its technical and administrative functions within the guidelines set forth in the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing. Develop and execute a comprehensive program for the evaluation of business processes and related management controls pertaining to all organizational activities.

The Director of Internal Auditing and Consulting reports functionally to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors which will direct and oversee the execution of the Director’s duties and responsibilities. Reports administratively to the President of the Company for purposes of budgetary matters, performance evaluation and salary review.

We are looking for someone that can:
* Manage the Auditing and Consulting Services Department within the broad Company objectives, policies, and other guidelines, considering the philosophy expressed by the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. Responsible for maintaining auditing procedures which result in clear and concise reports to management and the Audit Committee.
* Facilitate the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program through coordination and assistance to the Enterprise Risk Management Committee. In conjunction with ERM responsibilities, facilitates the annual preparation and filing of the Company’s Own Risk Solvency Assessment Report to the Indiana Department of Insurance.
* Coordinate the performance of specific operational, financial and information system audits. Assigns specific audits to Auditing and Consulting Services staff and reviews results of their work. Resolves problems which may develop during the course of audits, or which may be disclosed as a result of auditing efforts. May suggest alternatives or solutions to responsible manager.



 Requirements
Do you have:
* A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, a CPA, CIA or CISA designation? Other business discipline degrees may be considered if other qualifications are compensatory.
* Previous insurance accounting / auditing experience?
* An in-depth knowledge of business operations and control procedures, accounting principles and statistical methods, as well as a general knowledge of current computer systems?
