Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Special Investigator in Crown Point, Indiana

Description

We are looking for someone that can:

  • Receive referrals for, identify and investigate suspicious and questionable claims.

  • Develop and initiate an investigative plan that includes the gathering of facts, completion of reports, running database checks and taking recorded statements.

  • Acts as a liaison with law enforcement, fire officials, prosecutors, insurance fraud bureaus, and industry-related service organizations.

  • Promote a coordination of efforts to identify the potential incidence of insurance fraud.

  • Be a positive influence in establishing, developing, and maintaining professional working relationships with internal and external customers to ensure prompt, efficient service and provide a positive customer experience.

Requirements for Success:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent. College Degree not essential, but a definite asset.

  • Requires a minimum of current five years’ P&C claims adjusting.

  • A minimum of three years’ experience as an investigator in the public/private sector is acceptable in place of adjusting experience.

  • Requires the ability to develop and conduct SIU training, coaching and mentoring with all claims personnel, as requested.

  • Required knowledge of all major social media platforms; Microsoft & Apple word processing & spreadsheet software; and be proficient on applicable databases, systems and vendor software programs.

  • Requires the ability to work independently and make independent decisions and must demonstrate organizational and leadership abilities.

  • Knowledge of or willingness to acquire knowledge of regulatory guidelines.

  • Ability to use technology and business tools required for the position.
